WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. To take part, all you’ve got to do is answer the three Ws below and post a link to your answers here. Be sure to check out other participants’ answers too! You never know what you might find to add to your TBR list ;D
The three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently reading
Well, I say currently. I’m starting this tonight. After the intensity of Misery, I feel in dire need of something that classes itself as ‘comedy horror’.
Recently finished reading
Misery was both addictive and terrifying. Just when I thought Annie couldn’t do anything worse, she’d go and surprise me all over and again. Such an intense book. I feel like I’m in need a vacation.
Next on my reading list
Chauncey dropped me an email asking if I fancied reading and reviewing Home to Roost and with a blurb as epic as this, I immediately said yes. Super excited to begin this book!
I had to read quite a few happy novels after finishing Misery. So dark…

I know 😦 Brilliant, but dark. There were points where I had to close the book and just take a second to breathe!

I still get cringy moments when I think about the imagery. Great book though. Have you checked out Steven King’s son Joe Hill’s books? They are pretty amazing 😃

I haven’t, no! I haven’t even heard of him, to be honest 😛 But I’ll definitely check him out!

Oh wow, King! I haven’t read a single King book yet… wlel, I lie, I tried to read The Talisman (I think that’s what it was called) and I couldn’t get into it… Drew and some others know thought that I have The Stand waiting to be read on the sidelines… who knows when I’ll get to that tome! Misery? Because it’s so dark- I might give this one a go first… I’m all about doom&gloom!

There are some King books that I couldn’t get into either, IT being a prime example! I haven’t read The Stand but I know a few people who say that it’s their favourite King book 😀 I definitely recommend Misery, though. Dark, gripping and unputdownable (is that even a word!?)
