I’ve noticed in many paranormal romance novels, the endearment ‘love’ is often used. It’s a term that has people going weak at the knees while their insides turn to mush (metaphorically at least) and it’s seen as sweet and precious…
…here in the UK, the only people who call me ‘love’ are overweight, balding men leaning out their car windows shouting “Oi, luv. Show us y’tits.” or men crowding the bar at work demanding to be served.
I wish I lived where these authors live.
Same here, though I’ll replace the over weight balding men with “touts”.

*sighs* Maybe one day, one glorious day, we’ll both find someone who’ll use the word in a nice, sweet, non-creepy way…

Fiction my dear, fiction π No one is asking to see my tits.. it may be the red hair scares them off π But it is the same everywhere haha.

Ah yes, red heads are quite fearsome π I used to be a red head and it gave me a lot more bad-assery than my natural blond does ;P Yeah, you’re right. Still, I can fantasize about a world where men call me ‘love’ in a completely non-creepy way!
